Collaboration with Tohoku University’s Healthspan Research Center (HeSReC) and Promotion of Industry-Academia Collaboration for Extending Healthy Lifespan

On April 8, 2026, Tohoku University established the Healthspan Research Center (HeSReC), a new interdisciplinary organization aimed at extending healthy lifespan. This center brings together related organizations conducting anti-aging and longevity research at Tohoku University (such as the Institute of Development, Aging and Cancer, the Graduate School of Medicine, and the Tohoku University Medical Megabank Organization) to conduct research from basic research to clinical application and social implementation in a seamless manner.

Our company conducts research and projects deeply related to the objectives of the Tohoku University Healthspan Research Center, including the development of RS5614, a PAI-1 inhibitor that removes senescent cells and suppresses age-related diseases; the development of artificial intelligence (AI) to support the prediction of aging in various organs; the search for aging biomarkers to evaluate the state of aging; participation in the international longevity clinical competition XPRIZE Healthspan; and the international implementation of longevity research and businesses. Moving forward, our company will continue to collaborate with the Tohoku University Healthspan Research Center to promote industry-academia collaboration based on cutting-edge scientific evidence for extending healthy life expectancy.
